Side Modules or Sidebar Links

Im trying to figure out a solution to an issue that on certain categories, my support person needs to update a users Joomla groups for issues. I have looked to see if there was anything for Joomla 6 that might allow adding a module or something for this, but cant seem to find anything.

Is there any way to add a control feature/module that could be setup almost like a custom field, but for admin only, that could sit on the sidebar inside Helpdesk?

The problem is that on some support tickets there's procedures that need to be followed, and there's no where in the administrator to display those instructions or a module that's in the support persons face to remember to do it...

Does that make sense what I'm trying to say? LOL

Is it possible to add something like that, that could be category specific and only show in administrator for tickets of that category?

This is a special requirement and unfortunately, not supported in Helpdesk Pro

I guess you can edit backend ticket layout administrator/components/com_helpdeskpro/View/Ticket/tmpl/default.php , add the instructions you want there

Remember to move the modified file to template override after the modification is done so that it won't be lost when update to future release of the extension

OK. So I added a new plugin called Helpdesk Pro - Custom Messages and updated it to download package on server. You can access to My Downloads menu item, download latest package of Helpdesk Pro, update it to your site

Then find plugin Helpdesk Pro - Custom Messages, enable it , choose the right access level for it (so that only users with that access level can see the messages)

Click on the plugins to edit, you can setup Messages from there. For each message, you can:

- Choose categories: If no categories are selected, that message will be displayed for all categories
- Heading: Enter heading for that message
- Message: Enter the message you want to display

If I understand your request correctly, this will handle your requirement perfectly
