Today I’m happy to announce the release of Helpdesk Pro version 6.3.0. Below are improvements for this release:
1. Improve Custom Fields
- Added Access setting to allow control who can see/access to a custom field while submit tickets
- Added Prompt Text setting for List custom field type to allow using custom text instead of default Select for the first option
- Added Filterable setting. If set to Yes, tickets can be filtered base on value of that custom field on tickets management/tickets list screen. Applied for List,Checkboxes, Radio custom field types
2. Added Smart Search - Helpdesk Pro Knowledge Base plugin
The plugin allow knowledge base articles in Helpdesk Pro can be indexed and searchable via Joomla core smart search.
3. Added User - Helpdesk Pro plugin
The plugin allows synchronize user email to the email associated to tickets (which will receive email notification) when email is changed for a user account (by admin or by that user). That will make sure email used in Helpdesk Pro for user will always be synchronized with the email in his user account
4. Modernize code base
We refactored code of backend list view layout to make it shorter, cleaner, easier to maintain and easier to adapt it to work with future releases of Joomla and also faster for future development
