Lock product editing to one user at a time

Hi,
I'd like to request that products' edit pages be locked when a user is editing the product. We've had a few instances of two users overwriting each other because they're both trying to edit the same product at the same time. A simple lock on the page when one user has it open would be a great feature to help prevent this kind of thing (like what Joomla does for articles).
