Auto Currency Detection Improvement

I want to use this feature but I have had reports that it isn't robust enough, especially when a user is on a VPN.

I would like a user to be able to override the automatically selected currency if an error has been made.

Thank you for submitting the question here. Actually, if you don't want to use auto update currency feature, you can go to the Configuration to turn it off. Then you can manually enter the exchanged rate between currencies.

I had already done that as otherwise I would have had issues.

I would , however, prefer to turn it back on to cover the vast majority of cases but allow manual changing of the currency it detects when an error is made.

I disagree Giang.

If the plugin is enabled then you cant override the chosen currency manually. You can only change it if the plugin is disabled.

That's correct. If you want to manually edit the currency exchanged rate, you need to disable auto currency update plugin.
