default Country selection was created by Scott Johnson
when a customer goes to the order checkout process and must fill in their address, it would be nice to be able to select a default country as a configuration option by admin, 99% of our customers will select United STates as their county which means that they must scroll through a huge list of countries to get there.

Hello Scott,
Thank you for submitting the question here. EShop has already supported this. Please go to EShop -> Sales -> Fields to edit the country field there. On the edit country field screen, at Default Value, enter the ID of country that you want to use as default country there.
To see the ID of countries, please go to EShop -> System -> Countries, you will see.
I hope this is useful.
Sincerely, Giang
