Eshop, ship products independent

On our webshop we have products that ship from various locations. This means that in some cases, the shipping cost should be paid per product and not based on the weight or other options.

Would it be possible to implement a parameter that is set in the product definitions, that defines that shipping cost for this product needs to be calculated independently of any other ordered products?

Dear Auke,

I think that this is already supported by EShop. So:

1. Let's edit product, udner Data tab, you will see a field to enter individual shipping cost for the product.

2. Go to EShop -> Plugins -> Shipping to enable Item Shipping plugin there to have the shipping option to calculate the shipping cost based on shipping cost of products.

Does this mean that this shipping plugin only works with the products that have individual shipping cost assigned and that the other products still can be shipped together?

I just realized today that it is actually more complex. We have a number of products being shipped from one location. They can be shipped together. Another set of products is send from another location. So to make it all work o.k. we would need some sort of shipping location configuration.

That's correct Auke!

In the case your shipping rules are complex, it maybe requires to customize to the shipping plugins or making a new custom shipping plugin to meet the requirement.
