cart module improvment

Hi , i was wondering if there is a way to have only the a cart icon or a shopping bag as a display option , that will make it extremly handy on a mobile version of the website

You can overwrite the layout of shopping cart module to have it as the way that you want. The file that you should look at and modify is: modules\mod_eshop_cart\tmpl\default.php
