stock qty for options, variants was created by Mino
Hi, I would like to ask, if you will add product variant (options variation) function with managable stock quantity. Actually I need to use other extesion with this functionality, because sell t-shirt is impossible without that (different stock of size and color variants). But I like Eshop's other functions, so I would like to use it. Thanks.

same here. i used K2 and K2Store to do that until now. but i want to use EShop as it is much simplier to setup and handle.
Until now you can not handle stocks for T-shirts which is a popular item to be sold online so for sure for you also a big potential to get more users of your extension. come on! B)

Dear all,

Each option value of a product has its own quantity and when an option value is ordered, the quantity will be updated automatically.

Sincerely, Giang

But that is problem when you have product with more than one option.
Example:

Product: T-shirt style 1
size: S, M, L
color: Red, Blue

Actually I have in stock Red/M, Red/L, Blue/S, Blue/L.

How can I allow customers to order only this variants?

My stock status is variable (selling t-shirt also offline), so I need to update stock qty more often.

And I can't merge it to one option (Red/S, Red/M, Red/L, Blue/S, Blue/M, Blue/L), Because I lost filter ability (color, size).

This is not unconventional feature. Systems like j2store, woocomerce and others have it... so no need to invent something new, just inspire at others...

Just looking at this myself in terms of multiple options on singular product. So just to be clear, if I have

5 Blue TShirts and have 5 entered in the quantity for Blue,
I have 2M, ! Large and 2 XL and have entered the quantities accordingly

If I get an order for one blue XL T Shirt it will reduce the quantity in Blue T Shirts to 4 and the quantity in XL to 1?

or do I need to set up options for each colour and each size???

So, I have 2 Blue Medium TShirts, 1 Blue Large Tshirt and 2 Blue XL Tshirts as options and then as the orders come through the quantities are reduced. Seems to me this is the only way it can work.

Cheers,

Ric

It work ok, if you have only blue tshirt :) stocks are reduced as you describe but problem come if you have 2 colors and 2 sizes. Example stocks:
2 pcs blue/M,
2 pcs blue/L,
2 pcs red/M,
2 pcs red/L.

So I set quantity to:
4 x Blue,
4 x Red,
4 x M,
4 x L.

After order 2 pcs Blue/L, stocks in shop are reduces to:
2 x Blue,
4 x Red,
4 x M,
2 x L.

And there is problem - users can again order 2 pcs Blue/L, but they are not in stock...

Hello Sebastian,

You can read about how to manage Options at eshopdocs.joomservices.com/catalog/options and how to assign options to product at eshopdocs.joomservices.com/catalog/products#product-options

Hope that this is useful.

Sincerely, Giang

Hello Everyone.

Could I please pick up on this thread as I can't work out if this is possible still sorry but lots of people seem to be asking a similar thing to what I need but I can't work it our from the Documentation links supplied.

I am expanding the way I use the eShop Component as we grow our products that bit more now.
I just had a question on how to best watch stock levels for our t-shirts and how to set these up in the shop.
I am sorry if my question is long and hope I make sense.
I have read through the documentation and set up options for our t-shirts so we can use the one product to sell Male and Female t-shirts sizes and in the different colours and this is working in the shop well so far.

Against a product I have added an overall quantity of 50
Then against the sizes I have added
5 x Womens Small
5 x Womens Medium
5 x Womens Large
5 x Womens Xlarge
5 x Womens XXLarge
5 x Mens Small
5 x Mens Medium
5 x Mens Large
5 x Mens XLarge
5 x Mens XXLarge
Equals 50 shirts

In the colours option I have added
20 x White
20 x Navy
10 x Grey
To Equal 50 also

What I can't workout though is how I can now add or see my stock for the number of Womens, Small, White, T-shirts we sell so we can watch and check the levels easily.

I would love to see a grid that shows me something like the attached image and the reducing stock numbers clearly. I can see in our shop now that Womens Small t-shirts have gone down by 3, Men's Medium have gone down by 1 and Men's XL have gone down by 1 already. I can also see that Grey T-Shirts have gone down by 3 and Navy T Shirts have gone down by 2 but I can tell which size of which colour these are sorry. Is this possible?

Any help would be great as I may just be missing the final step in my setup options somewhere.

I don't want to have to add 3 different t-shirts that are the same other than for colour if I can help it.
As over all my products that would become a lot. So I don't want.
10 x Grey T Shirts in Male and Female Sizes
20 x White T Shirts in Male and Female Sizes
20 x Navy T Shirts in Male and Female Sizes

I have tried to read and understand the forum comments and the user guide documentation but can't figure it out sorry.

I hope I am making sense.

Thanks as always

Chris
