Click & Collect was created by Dennis
Forgive me if I have done insufficient research and this is already available - I just can't find it.

We are looking to provide a "click & collect" option for our website/shop where customers can order and pay online but chose to collect their items from our shop.

Essentially, it requires zero shipping cost to be available on a completed order when the "click & collect" option is selected.

If this is already available, I would be grateful for any links to follow.

Many thanks.

Hello Dennis,

Then simply use Free Shipping method in EShop and change title to Click & Collect. When checking out products, customer simply choose Click & Collect as shipping method to checkout their order.

Sincerely, Giang

Thank you for your reply.

We already use the free shipping module for orders over £25 - is it possible to install another copy of this module without conflict?

Hold on, I think I have just answered my own question. I will use the 'flat shipping' module, renamed and set to zero cost - that should do it.

Many thanks Giang for your help.

OK no problem Dennis,

I also have the copies of Free Shipping or Flat Shipping, if you need them, just let me know.

Have a nice day!
Sincerely, Giang

Hi Guys, just a quick update on this and a little heads up.

We have successfully used the flat rate shipping module to implement our click & collect.

A couple of points though. Renaming it is not sufficient on its own - you also need to change the text in the .ini file - the catch is that there are TWO .ini files that need to be changed.

FYI these are:
/components/com_eshop//languages/en-GB/en-GB.plg_eshop_flat.ini
/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_eshop_flat.ini

Took us a while to find that....

Hey all,

Things have probably changed since this topic was last discussed so I thought I'd update this thread.

- The .ini file is found here; language/en-GB/en-GB.com_eshop.ini
- The two constants you need to override are; PLG_ESHOP_FLAT_TITLE
and PLG_ESHOP_FLAT_DESC
- Editing those .ini files risks changes being lost during an Eshop update
- A better approach is to go to Extensions -> Languages -> Overrides -> Select your site language using the filter dropdown -> New (do this for each constant setting the PLG_ESHOP_FLAT_TITLE Text to Click & Collect)

I hope this helps.
