E-mail for products back to status available

How do you think about an option as actual "Ask a question" in product page that allow users to indicate your e-mail address so that when this product come back to "available" (quantity pass from 0 to a number) an e-mail inform them that the product is now available? Like link "Tell me when this product is available", popup with e-mail textbox and save button, e-mail sent to user signed for this product when admin save a product changing quantity from 0
