The ability to change the status of an order is great and we use it all the time. It would be wonderful if EShop could also display a log of the history of status changes. With such a log, we could easily respond to a customer’s inquiry by saying “our system shows that your order was received on 12/2; payment was received on 12/4; readied for shipping on 12/5; and shipped on 12/6.”
Adding shipment tracking information would provide us with every bit of information we would need to respond to a customer’s inquiry.

If this is not readily possible, and perhaps as even a better and simpler solution, how about a Notes field below or next to the Comment field on the back-end where the store owner can enter notes not seen by the customer (e.g., check # 1234 - 12/1/14; customer called to change shipping address – 12/3/14; USPS tracking # 122345 – 12/4/14). The ability for time and date stamps to be automatically added to these entries (with a check box to not enter the stamp) would be great.

Sound like a good suggestion. I think it is useful feature. I will think about a way to add a new comment field which is only available for the admin to add his comment there.
