Profile plugin is a new extension in Joomla! 2.5.

Hi guys. I've been trying to find a way to integrate Joomla's native User Information and eShop. I found that there is a Plugin called User - Profile. This allows Joomla to add address information etc, to the User's Profile.

Will you be able to integrate with this so the User's address is recorded in their Joomla Profile and used by eShop. Alternatively, if the user adds an address in Checkout, this address is saved in the Joomla Profile.

Yes, EShop has already has EShop User plugin to integrate Joomla user information into EShop customer information. Please read about it in the following part in the documentation of EShop: eshopdocs.joomservices.com/system/joomla-users-integration.html

Hi again. Thank you for your quick reply.

I understand that Joomla Users will become eShop users, but when a user edits their postal address in the Joomla user - edit profile, the address isn't changed in eShop.

Am I trying to do something that cant be done?

That's correct. The integration only works at the register new user account. It is not designed to work when customer update their profile.

OK. I understand this is a limitation of EShop. Will you consider having this information synced so we can use Joomla User Management tools or 3rd party tools which are but better looking.

Perhaps the ability to map EShop User information fields with Joomla Information fields?

We will consider to upgrade the EShop User plugin to allow customers to update their information in EShop when they update their information in Joomla.
