I'm about to start a major project which is a catalog of products, one of the points to consider is the function of a powerful search engine efficient and accurate.

The caractericticas you must have the form:
Find any keyword.
Find any number of sku.
Find any product, keyword, product name or price.

Can you tell me if this tool has eshop.

i think the advanced search module has a ajax type search feature which works quite well. You should be able to test it on the demo page.

Not sure if this is linked into the standard joomla smart search?

Woony was right. As default, EShop has 2 ajax search modules, as you are seeing on demo at eshop.joomdonation.org/cameras/digital-cameras.html

1. First ajax search module only search on product name and return results by ajax to display result below the textbox, user can click on a product to view details.

2. Advanced search module as you see on the left side, you can search throud manufacturers, product price and product name. It works with same way.

Actually, my developers will make a more power advanced search with more filter options there.
