joomla search returning unpublished events

Hi Tuan

When we search for an event using the Joomla search function (which is under the burger menu on the site), it returns results that include events for which the publish up date is in the future.

To recreate.
Go to ileap.co.uk
Click on the burger menu (off canvas menu)
 

enter 'Funday' into the search box and hit return.
 

In the results you will see the event "Sunday Funday; Spring Term 2027: Ages 12+"
 

This event is not due to be published until 1 November 2026

Can this be resolved as we do not want members to be able to view or register for events that have not yet been published.

Hi Alison

Publish Up and Publish Down for events were not handled before in Joomla smart search. I just updated Events Booking smart search plugin to handle it

Please access to My Downloads menu item, download latest package of Events Booking, update it to your site. Then re-index events and check the result again, it should work fine
