Event archive searchable was created by Ulrike Anton
Hi there,
I am referring to an older question in this forum:
joomdonation.com/forum/events-booking-ge...d-events.html#148529
We have hunderts of events in our event archive, and we would like to provide a search function (genereally speaking, it really doesn´t make any sense to provide an archive without the ability to search it)
Why is there no possibiliy to search the archive? - When I set the event display type in the menu item from "past events" to "all events", there indeed IS a search function. So why does it dissappear when I want to use "past events" only?
Thanks,
Christoph

I believe I updated code recently so that search filter should still be displayed when you configure the system to display past events. Could you please download latest package of Events Booking, update it to your site, then check it again?

I already have the latest version 5.4.0, and also Joomla Core is up to date. I only see the search field/category filter bar when I set the display events type to "upcoming" or "all events". It does not work with "past events". I am using the category default layout.
I also cleaned Joomla Cache and Browser Cache.
Thanks
PS: Might take till Monday until I am online here again.

You should still download latest package from My Downloads section and update it manually. Usually, we won't release new version with only some small improvements added. So although you are having 5.4.0, it is still not the latest
