Event Submission Messaging Issue was created by Jim Clementi
I have set group permissions to allow Event submissions from a particular group. In this case I am logged in and submitting as a SuperUser.

In Configuration - General - Mail Settings, I have "Send Notification Email To Event Creator" set to No.

Whenever I create a Front End Submission I am receiving the attached email message.

Not only shouldn't I be receiving the message, but [FIRST_NAME] [LAST_NAME] aren't populating. Values in all other messages that I've tested so far have populated correctly.

How can I get the messages to either stop sending or to populate correctly?  I'm at a loss.

It appears that the default message configured includes variables that are not valid for the message type. [name] worked fine.

It still shouldn't be sending the submit notification but I can live with that as long as the information contained in the email is correct.

Hi Jim

[FIRST_NAME], [LAST_NAME] tags are only supported for emails sent when users register for an event (because that data is collected on registration form)

For email sent when event is submitted, you can see the list of supported tags in this documentation docs.joomdonation.com/eventsbooking/emai...ent-submission-email

Tuan

Thanks Tuan, I understand that. You may want to consider the default message distributed with the system. That includes the [FIRST_NAME], [LAST_NAME] tags! I didn't configure those, that's what was so confusing.

Ah, OK, Thanks Jim. That should be replaced by [NAME] tag instead. I updated the default message, so this confusing issue won't happen again for new installation in the future

Tuan
