Search Option was created by Markus Koerle
The order of category appearance shown within the search field (screenshot 1) is different to the order that is actually created (screenshot 2). 
Is there any chance to change this?

Hello Markus

By default, the categories are being ordered by name. Go to Events Booking -> Configuration, change Category Dropdown Ordering config option to Ordering, then you can change order of the categories displayed there to meet your need
