Mailchimp integration with Event Booking registran

One issue with exporting a CSV file and importing it into MailChimp is that without an opt-in field, you haven't provided a method for the purchaser to either opt-in or opt-out of being added to the MailChimp list.

We would like a plugin feature in Event Booking which would — depending upon whether a "opt-in" checkbox was checked (default is checked) or unchecked — would connect to a MailChimp list and add the new subscriber. That way the purchaser would have to choose to deselect the checkbox in order to opt-out of the list.

Can this be done, Tuan?

Tuan, can you please direct me to information in the documentation about how this new MailChimp feature works? Is it just export, as discussed above, or does it import users directly into the MailChimp list?

Not export and import. You just need to:

1. Go to Extensions -> Plugins Manager, publish the plugin "Events Booking - Mailchimp plugin".

2. Click on that plugin to edit, then enter API Key of your Mailchimp account into the plugin param

3. Edit the event, you will see a new tab for Mailchimp settings. Select the Lists you want registrants will be added to when they sign up for that event

4. After that, when someone register for your event, they will be assigned to the selected mailchimp lists.

5. Do the same for other events

Current Event registration emails are no longer being entered into Mailchimp.  Is there something new that we need to do to re-enable this?

Maybe there was some changes from your side causing it is not working anymore? You can submit a support ticket sending us:
- Super admin account
- Link to the page which we can register for the event and see error

We will check to see why the issue happens and get it sorted
