Could not instantiate mail function.

Hello,

I am getting this error after processing payments "Could not instantiate mail function." I have checked my settings in Joomla and PHP Mail function is set. Any ideas on this? Thanks.

Event Booking uses default sendMail function of Joomla to send emails, so if the settings is correct, the email should be sent properly . You can check the mail setting by going to Site -> Users manage, create a new user, save it to see whether there is any error .

If you see the error (Could not instantiate mail function), that means the mail setting is wrong. You will need to go to Site -> Global configuration to adjust mail setting until it is working file (Usually using PHP mail function or SMTP settings should work)

I just created a new user and no error. This is what I got after it created the user "Your account has been created and an activation link has been sent to the e-mail address you entered. Note that you must activate the account by clicking on the activation link when you get the e-mail before you can login.".

No errors.

I went to your site again to check and found the out the reason. You entered "New Registration" into Notification emails config option and it is wrong. You need to enter the emails you want to receive notification here, not a text. As state in the guide next to the config option :

If you want to user multiple emails, put it as comma seperated. For example: paypal@joomdonation.com,acounting@joomdonation.com

In this case, you just need to change "New Registration" to your email and everything will work fine !

Always such an easy fix! I am going to stop doing things when I am going on 1 hour of sleep or being up for 36 hours straight! My mind just isn't all there!!!!!!!
