Location Menu Item adds get-Variable location_id to URL

Hello, 

I have locations as menu items (second level, first level is eb category). In the frontend it generates correct urls, but always appends ?location_id=x to the URL. These also appear like this in the sitemap. Can the adding of the location id be prevented?
