Upcoming Events Module not showing in correct order

See the "Special Events at Our Stores" module about halfway down:

I have tried setting the order by Date, Ascending and also by Ordering, but still the events always show in the same order they are currently. The one in the middle should be shown first. Is this a bug?

 

One thought is that registration for the first event is not public, but the other two are set to public registration. Maybe this offers a clue?

The access of the event does not have any affect. For this, I will need to check it directly on your site. Please submit a support ticket and we will check it further from there

I replied via support ticket but also reply here in case someone has same issue.

It is because one of the event has Featured set to Yes. When Featured set to Yes, the event will be displayed at the top of the module

I just edited the event, set Featured to No and it works OK now

Ah excellent, thank you. Perhaps you can add a selection for "Featured first?" with yes/no options. If this were the case I would have known what the issue was.

Could be something in documentation. I will see what I can do to have it improved
