Uploaded images folder was created by kcc
Hello,
Is it possible to create separate folders for uploading files per event?
Or, create prefixes to identify uploaded files per event?
Thank you very much!

Hi Walter
What is the upload files you are talking about? Is it event images ? Or the attachments of each event ?

Hi Tuan,
I mean the images that users upload when registering for an event. In our case, these events are photography competitions, and all uploaded images are currently stored in the same folder.
The ideal solution would be to have a separate upload folder for each event. Since we publish competitions months in advance, members may register for different events over time, and all of their images end up mixed together in the same folder.
Another possible solution would be to allow us to define in the form a file prefix for each event, so that all images uploaded for a specific event would include that prefix in the filename.
Either approach would make it much easier to manage and identify the uploaded images for each competition.
Best,
Walter

Ah, I see. We do not have that option available. Normally, the files which users upload will be managed inside the registration record itself. In your case, I guess you access to the folder and download files directly from there, and that's the reason you want files for each event in a separate folder ?

Yes, it is easier to access it via FTP rather than at the Registrants at each individual event.

Separate folders are not the only option, the ability to add a prefix code or word to the file field in the registration form also works well for me, so I can immediately visualize which files belong to each event.
Thanks,
Walter

Modify that will require many code modification, not only control the upload but also when download files, sending files via emails....
In this case, I guess if it is really needed, a plugin will need to be developed so that after registration completed, the uploaded file for the registration will be copied to a new folder for that event.
But that will require custom development and will cost you some fee
Regards,
Tuan
