acymailing subscribe plugin was created by OTWD
Hi i have followed the instructions here:
EB 5.2.0
Acym 10.5.2

Events Booking - AcyMailing
enabled plugin list id = 1 and mapped the field

EB custom field "subscribe_newsletter" type: checkbox value = Yes

No subscriber is created

Have also tried the Event > Acymailing Settings tab > Newsletter Lists > Selected lists 
Again no subscriber is created.
Does the integration work withe acym v10.x?

Yes. It works. Could you submit a support ticket sending me super user account of your site and link to registration form? I would like to take a quick look at your setup to see what's the issue and get it properly configured for you
