We use both components on our site, and when new users register for an event we would like all of our custom fields in Membership Pro to show on the registration page in Events Booking. This seems like something that should be standard, but I cannot find a way to make it work other than to duplicate the same fields in both components. Is there another way to do this?

Here are two pages for example, one for registering via MP and one for registering via EB:
fasciaresearchsociety.org/membership/mem...r-membership/sign-up
fasciaresearchsociety.org/education-webi...ividual-registration

Hi Vince

Basically, the extension is independent with each other. So you cannot setup a custom field in Membership Pro for example and expect it to be available on Events Booking. You will need to setup custom fields in both extensions

However, you can map the fields in Events Booking and Membership Pro so that when user logged in and register for an event in Events Booking, data from his Membership Pro profile data will be used to fill-in registration form in Events Booking (so that user does not have to type again). See docs.joomdonation.com/eventsbooking/basi...-data#membership-pro for instructions

Tuan

Thank you for that info, and yes I was able to map the fields as you mentioned. One thing I noticed is that the fields in MP must be assigned to All Plans or you cannot link them, which makes sense since a new user in EB has not joined any plan yet.

It would be great to have a migration or import/export tool for this as it took quite some time to create them exactly the same and do all the linking. In our case we have 43 fields that include many radio buttons, checkboxes, etc.

Or perhaps even an option for EB to use MP for registration of new users? Not sure if that is possible but that seems like it would work best.

Thanks again for you always excellent service!

Since the extensions are independent with each other, we don't have a tool to allow migrating custom fields from one extension to other. And also for EB to use Membership Pro for registration new users, I do not have any clue exactly how it should work but I don't think we will implement it

Tuan
