Custom Fee Field Discount was created by Claire Haas
Hi,
I have read your documentation here but I am struggling to understand how to set a Textbox to give 100% discount on the ticket price (which is £19.75). Please could you point me in the right direction?
Kind regards
Claire

That's strange request. I do not know how a textbox could give that kind of discount. Could you send me link to registration form and explain more details about your request ?

Hi Tuan,
Thank you, the registration form is here .
It is the HAF ID field. This is a special number given to families by local councils, it covers the costs of summer holiday activities for children. So, the families can book free activities with local organisations. This website is one of those organisations, they want people with these numbers to be able to book for free via their website. So, the HAF ID field needs to deduct 100% of the ticket types price.
I also need this field to restrict the input value to start with HAF and then allow 5 to 7 numbers. I have tried with regex ^HAF\d{5,6,7}$ but it doesn't work. I am not understanding this either.
Thank you in advance for your time.
Kind regards
Claire

Hi Claire
Unfortunately, there is no way to give 100% discount if value for the field is entered like that. This is a special requirement and I do not see a way to setup using Events Booking
Maybe you should setup these HAF values as coupon code with 100% discount. And if users enter valid coupon code, they will get 100% discount for registration ?

Hi Tuan,
Oh, that's a shame. I can't use coupon codes because there are hundreds of thousands of different combinations of numbers to account for. Unless there is a way for a coupon code to be created so that they can enter HAF (the required part) and then their number...
Hmm, or... can I put a field after the coupon code field? Then HAF could be the coupon code and the next field their number?
Kind regards
Claire
