My client would like to offer an automatic discount for a list of developing nations, what would be the best way to implement that?

There is no easy way. Maybe you can create a List custom field to allow choosing country and then setup fee values for each country to give discount. See docs.joomdonation.com/eventsbooking/basi...wn-custom-field-type
