Different Tax Rates for Food + Ticket - event booking extension was created by Max Teufel
Hello,
thank you for your great extension!
We have some events containing the entrance ticket and also a menu (food).
In Germany we need to charge for the ticket 19% and for the food only 7%.
Is there any possibiliy to handle this with the event booking extension?
So can we offer a article containing the entrance fee and food in one event showing the correct tax rates?
Beste regards,
Vutura Team

Hi Max
Unfortunately, in Events Booking, we only support single tax rate for all fee options in the event. There is no option to have different tax rate for ticket and for food (fee options)

Thank you a lot for your answer.
Is it somehow possible to create two events in different tax categories and link it?
I know I can add different tax rules to different categories but can I somehow link those events?
Do you have any idea how we can solve this?
Best

Hi Max
Yes. In your case, you can create two events and setup tax rate directly for each event. You might have to go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Activate Simple Tax config option to Yes to be able to enter tax rate in each event

Tuan

ok - great - and can I somehow link those 2 events ?
So the people will easily see those 2 events belong together and the user can order the second event as an extra?

I do not know what is the best way. Maybe use related events plugin
docs.joomdonation.com/eventsbooking/plugins/related-events
