Dependency Event

Hi
I am setting up a conference, which will have a competition attached to it. I am curious about the Dependency Event feature. Would that enable users who only want to register for the conference can have that as the main event, with the dependency event being the competition with its own form to fill in then one payment at the end of both forms? I couldn't find much in the documentation.

Dependency allows you to require users to register for configured events before they are allowed to register for the main event, seem not something you are looking for

I am creating an event with registration. The event will run along side another event (Conference & Competition). Historically I have created the one event for both but its always a long complicated form (which was why I asked about tabs in another post). I've decided to use the shopping cart facility to have two events and one payment.

I have enabled the shopping cart but I don't see the add to cart option in the event. It's individual registration. Does it work by registering for an event then add to cart at the bottom so I can then navigate to another event, register and add that to cart then go to the cart and pay?

Could be because your event has Ticket Types ? If you are using Ticket Types plugin, it won't work with shopping cart
