Issues when an user want to change the event date was created by Sara
Hello,
We have several events in each categories. These event are the same, except for the day and hour of Event Start Date, and sometimes a registrant in a event can ask for be changed to another day / hour:
- So we do the change in the inscription and the Event Capacity of the event decrease correctle, but no messages are sent to the waiting list and we must sent the message to the waiting list manually.
- This is something that happens usually in our site, so Is it possible to enable in the user panel, the option to change for himself his inscription to and event in the same category?
Thanks for your help and best regards,

Sorry Sara. Your questions is not very clear to me. Exactly what's "change in the inscription" ? Could you please explain more details about it?

Replied by Sara on topic Issues when an user want to change the event date
Hello,
For example:
- We have two events, one for the day 20/03 and another one for 27/03. All is the same, only changes the day.
- An user is registrant for the event in day 20/03, but now he can not go the this event.
- The user ask web site admin for changing his registration to the 27/03.
- The web admin does the change in the user registration. Now the event for the day 20/03 has one more place for another user, but the system does not send the message to the waiting list. I don´t if the admin must do anything to sent he advice to the waiting list.
- As this case happens several times per week, I will like to know if there is any option in the users panel for changing himself his inscription to and event in the same category.
If you need further information do not hesitate to contact me.
Thanks and best regards

Hi Sara
As of right now, there is no way to handle that out of the box. However, there is a workaround to trigger the email
- Edit the registration record, change status of the registration record to Cancelled. That will trigger cancellation process and waiting list email will be send
- Then change that registrant to new event, set status to Paid, save it
The way is cancel that registration first before moving it to new event
Regards,
Tuan
