Email Notification – Registration Cancellation

Hi, where do I have to activate the automatic email message to a registrant if an admin cancels the registration?

Hi Bjoern

The email should be sent without any additional setup. Are you saying that registrant does not receive email when admin cancel his registration? Please note that for group registration, the email will be sent to the billing person (main member), so please make sure email is collected for billing person

Also, go to Events Booking, then Setup -> Emails & Messages, check and makes sure the message items below are configured:

- user_registration_cancel_subject
- user_registration_cancel_message

Optional, the system will also sends email to admin as well. You just need to make sure the two message items below are configured:

- admin_cancel_registration_notification_email_subject
- admin_cancel_registration_notification_email_body

Hi Tuan, okay, I see. Canceling the complete group works, but if I need to cancel only one group member, the main member doesn’t receive any cancellation notification. Do you see any option for that?

Normally, Events Booking does not allow cancelling registration for group member. Cancelling is only allowed for whole group. So the question is how did you cancel registration for a group member ?

As I said, the system does not allow cancelling group member at the moment, so if you want to cancel registration, you must cancel the whole group

I will think more about this edit registration screen and might disable the option to set status to cancel in next release. Need to think for a good way to handle this

Hi Tuan,

I still think I can cancel a group member; at least the status shows that it is canceled.
In the attached video, I have a group with two members, Nico and Gina. I'm able to cancel Gina, see on the attached video.

Yes. You still be able cancel group member at the moment is my mistake on registrant edit screen. It is should not be enabled or will need to be handled better. For example, if you cancel group member at the moment, the Number Registrants of the group remain unchanged, so the total number registrants of the event is not counted properly

Also, we will need to think about how to calculate payment amount for the group billing records when a member is cancelled, quite complicated and need to think more carefully
