Registration not recorded was created by Ljupco Pacukovski
I have a case where I had a group registration in which the registrants got the confirmation email but the admin did not receive any email and there is no record of them being registered in the back end. The only proof is the email they forwarded me. After this, I performed numerous tests and all worked properly. What would cause a glitch like this to happen?

and I had another case of the same situation. something definitely is not right. This time was a group of two ticket, they get to payPal and paid, but the website does not register anything. Neither have I received an email. Again, in some cases it works just fine. I need to understand why sometimes it doesn't.

Hi Ljupco
In short, the system depends on payment gateway to work. When someone registers for your event and make payment, payment gateway like PayPal needs to sends a notification to Events Booking to inform Events Booking about the payment
If for some reasons, payment gateway could not notify Events Booking, Events Booking won't know about the payment, so it could not update status of registration record, sending email....
These registrations are still available in database, just not being shown by default and not being counted as valid registration. You can go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Show Incomplete Payment Records config option to Yes to see these missing records and publish it
Regards,
Tuan

I am not finding Show incomplete" in ver. 5.4.0 And when I look now in the DB, it seems there are a lot of registrations I was not aware of. This is a serious problem. Also the missing transactions were actually redirected to PayPal and they were paid for.

Ok, I found the option and the missing registrants showed up. I am still uneasy with the fact that the transactions are deemed uncomplete, when they were paid to PayPal.

This is out of our control as mentioned. If the issue always happens, then the problem comes from Events Booking
In your case, sometime it happens, so the only reason is PayPal IPN Message for these registrations could not reach your site for some reasons

Tuan

well after some investigation, it turns out all of the transactions paid to PayPal were not published and were in status of pending. Only the test and the offline payment were actually showing up. I have never experienced this issue before.

If so, there could be some possibility. We will need you to check IPN Messages under your PayPal account to see why it is not working (could be because PayPal IPN is disabled or blocked)
Please submit a support ticket so that we can guide you for next steps
