HTML Email Messed Up was created by Amelia Magee
Good Day,
I am having a problem with registration emails.  Out of the blue, with no change to the site, the email being sent to registrants are showing the actual HTML code instead of being sent in HTML format - I can't find any way to fix this - can someone help?

Thank You,

Jim

Hmm

That's strange. Could be because mail client which you are using could not parse HTML email. Could you please ask someone else to try to see if they get similar issue?

Regards,

Tuan

These were coming automatically from the site upon event registration, so I went in myself and did a registration to my email address to see what happened, and it sent it to me the same way. We are using PHP mail as our setting in Events Booking

Maybe you can try to switch mail settings in global configuration of your site to use SMTP instead of PHP mail to see if it address the issue?

Tuan

Update on this situation - I switched to SMTP and it made no difference. I raised the issue to my host, and they went in a sent an test email from the admin panel and the Content Type said text/html. The then did the same thing from the Events Registration and the Content Type said multipart/mixed which is consistent with the email I got from the system that was messed up. Here is a quote from the host: This indicates that the issue is related to how Joomla is designed to send emails. Specifically, the application currently uses 'multipart/mixed or HTML formatting' that is not fully compatible the Roundcube or the email client which you are using to view the email. It is is advisable to contact the Joomla application vendor/developer to check the email template settings or application settings that is causing the issue. If they find any server end issue, please provide exact details error related to the server so that we can investigate further.
