PayPal Live Payments Complete, but registration fails (for some) was created by Scott Cleary
Hi Tuan,I have been using Events Booking successfully for a few years now.Recently, I have been notified by several registrants that after registering and making a PayPal payment, their registration is not appearing in the list. We have confirmed that the PayPal payments were successful, but the registrations themselves failed to record. This issue does not affect every registrant and appears to occur randomly. It first started in November last year but has now become frequent enough that I have had to disable PayPal payments entirely. Is there a way to save the registration before the PayPal payment is processed, and then mark it as successfully paid once the payment has been completed?Kind regards,
Scott

Hi Scott
The extension relies on PayPal IPN to update status of the registration record to Paid. Basically, after payment completed, PayPal should send an IPN Message to inform Events Booking about payment. If the message is not sent for some reasons (or it is blocked by server somehow), Events Booking won't know about the payment, so It could not update status of registration record to Paid, could not send email.... and look like that's what happening here and it is out of our control
In this case, you can go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Show Incomplete Payment records config option to Yes. Then you will see these missing records (include both the one payment processed and the one without payment - for example, when users ignore payment process)
You can then publish the registration which you actually received payment
Regards,
Tuan

Thank you.... the Show Incomplete Payment records config option was exactly what I was looking for. It picked up three registrations that had an error and I was able to process them manually. Great work
