Hello
I just received a phone call from someone who was trying to book onto one of our events but couldn't get to the eway payment page as a new user.
I walked them through the steps and also created myself a new test account at the same time.
We filled everything in together and when we both came to press the Process Payment button we got the following error message appear and it cleared out part of our information we had put in.

'Invalid verification code entered'

I went into the admin area of my website and see other people have registered all okay today for that event and other ones but we both couldn't.
I said I would look into it further and call them back.
I then went into another event and was able to register the same details all ok for that event. I then went back to the event we were getting the error on and that worked too.

Are you able to tell what might be causing some to register some to have the verification code error please?

Thanks

Hi Chris

It seems the client could not pass captcha validation for some reasons. As this validation is handled by Google Captcha, it is out of our control

In this case, maybe you could try to configure to use a different captcha plugin. Or just go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Enable Captcha config option to No to disable captcha to allow users to register

Regards,

Tuan

Thanks for the reply Tuan
I have had time to come back to this.
I've no huge loyalty to Google Captcha and have worked out that the message comes because I think the form times out if visitors take too long to complete their details and the captcha code becomes expired - maybe?
We had 3 people call me and they did take a while to enter their details as new users.
I can't seem to control how long the form can take to be completed and the google captcha seems to expire.

I have found your Captcha and installed it.
If I set this as my global captcha for m y site will it work on any pages where I currently use Captcha or only on JoomDonation extensions?

I use Membership Pro, Events Booking, EShop and Payment Form from you but also use other Extensions for Contact Forms, Quizzes and Surveys etc.

Will they work OK with your Captcha and I can stop using the Google stuff do you think?

I'd love to use JoomDonation here as you are always superb with what you create

It should work. But of course you should test it on all extensions to make sure it works. Just to be safe
