PayPal Sandbox Payments Complete, but No Registrations Are Created in Backend

Hello,

I am currently testing the PayPal Sandbox integration in Events Booking. The payment process works correctly: users are redirected to PayPal Sandbox, the test payments are successfully completed, and the thank-you page on my Joomla website is displayed as expected.

However, no registration records are created in the Events Booking backend. I would normally expect at least a “Pending” registration to be generated as soon as the registration form is submitted, even before the PayPal callback/IPN.

Could you please clarify whether this behavior is expected when using PayPal Sandbox, or if this indicates a configuration or technical issue? To confirm:

• The payment process completes without errors.
• The PayPal Sandbox account receives the test payments.
• But the Events Booking “Registrations” list remains empty.
•  

Is there any known reason why Sandbox transactions would not create registration entries, or could there be an issue with how the registration is stored before the PayPal callback?

- Registration is created before PayPal callback is expected behavior.

- The really issue here is Registrants list is empty. But it is something with PayPal sandbox not reliable. Sometime, it works, sometime it does not. In this specific case, I believe the issue happens because PayPal callback does not happen. But this won't happen with PayPal Live mode, so you can ignore this issue for now
