Eway Payment Pending Time Increase

I hope you are well.
We use Eway to process our online payments and have always used your Eway Payment Plugin for Event Bookings, Membership Pro and Eshop. It is superb.
It works great and is still working well for me I believe.
In recent months though I have noticed that Eway are taking longer to email us our payment successful email and when this happens, we find the Event Booking or Membership Pro attempt is sitting at Pending and not processed.
Do you know what that maximum time for Event Booking or Membership Pro is for it to wait to hear back from Eway before (rightly in my view) saying that the payment was still sitting at Pending?
And can we raise that time anywhere in your Payment Plugins?
Today we received a successful payment email from Eway for someone who registered for one of our events but it came through 3 minutes after the person had processed their payment with our website so Event Booking was showing it as Pending still and they didn't get their Usergroup and Access Level to view event pages.
I think the issue is with Eway taking too long sometimes (sometimes we can get an email from Eway saying the payment was successful 2 hours after the website tried to process payment) to process a payment.
Most of the time both are instant but I have realised even away from our website. If I try to pay for things myself using online shopping or to pay my bills in my private life, I now can receive a message saying that the payment can take more than 90 seconds to process and I must stay on the page.
Is there any way I can up the amount of time our website can wait to hear back from eway?

However, I think the default Eway payment plugin is outdated. You might want to switch to use EB Eway Responsive Shared Page which uses this method
eway.io/api-v3/#responsive-shared-page
if it is possible
