Category Color

I am using the modern calendar.  I see where I can change the background color of events here.  I have a number of subcategories -- how can I make those display a different color?  I have set the color in each, tried removing the color from the parent category, but it's not working.

New to this -- very impressed so far as I'm figuring out how it works!

The event should use the color from main category it belongs to. To know why it is not working, I will have to check it on your site. Please submit a support ticket sending me link to the page and explain exactly what is not working as you want there. I will look at it and give you the answer
