US Currency symbol shows on event with Euro selected was created by Toolie Merchant
Hi everyone, I've got a client who is based in the USA, but who teaches classes in 3 other countries. I'm glad that I can select to display a different currency for those classes in another country, but when I test it by selecting the event, the US currency symbol (our default) is displayed next to the cost that is actually meant to be in Euros. If there a way to suppress the display of the default currency symbol or display the correctly selected one? I have screen shots to illustrate the issue.
Euro sign displayed in event listings:
Dollar displayed in Cart:
Dollar displayed at Checkout:
Any suggestions?

I guess the euro currency is selected inside your event. However, you are using shopping cart, so users can add multiple events to cart to process checkout, so it could not use individual currency from each event. It can only use currency configured in Global Configuration of your site
Please go to Events Booking -> Configuration, change Currency and Currency Symbol from there and it will work as you want

Thanks for the quick response Tuan. If we eliminate the use of the cart, will that solve the display problem? I don't know that my client will go for that option, but I thought I'd ask.
Thanks,

Yes. It will solve the display problem. Or maybe in your client case, even if they are using shopping cart, users will only register for one event at a time? If so, you can just change the currency in Configuration of Events Booking. That will work

To be more clear, change currency in Global Configuration won't work if they have different events, each event with it own currency. For example, event A uses USD, event B uses Euro and certain customer added both events to cart. In this case, the system do not know what currency needs to be used to process payment and for that, you will need to turn off shopping cart
