Entered invalid mail-adress

If I enter a mailadress which is correct by syntax but not existing, I geht a message in the registration form which says


Warnung
Could not instantiate mail function.

Can I translate this somehow? And what would be a nice feature: I activated that mails are only sent to the registrant but not to the administrator...but in such a case, if a mail could not be delivered, it would be helpful to get the "mail delivery failed" message as mail to the admin...

Unfortunately, that message is hardcoded by the PHPMailer library (uses by Joomla core for sending email), so it could not be translated

We do not handle wrong mail sending status at the moment. Maybe something in the future but to be honest, it does not take high priority

Thanks for the answer. I added the error message to our FAQ session so if someone gets this error he/she knows what is the reason....as a lot of people here in germany do not understand english...but so it is ok for us.
If for some reason this can be handled in the future then at least we have delivered an idea for that...
