Using paypal without setting a booking to paid?

Can I introduce an intermediate state after payment via paypal? As we have to add information to the dataset before a ticket is generated and send out, we currently do not allow paypal unless there is another solution.

At the moment, it is not possible. If we do not change status of the registration to Paid, there will be no way to distinguish between a registration which users completed payment and registration which users ignore or fail to complete payment

I understand, but this is the reason why I ask if you can add an intermediate state like "payment processed" or and then manually move further to "paid"...perhaps to configure it within the payment plugin. Just a suggestion.

That's quite complicated because we would also have to change the way we could number registrants of each event, validate remaining capacity.....

I will see if I can come up with a solution but honestly, I could not promise
