Export registrants to excel and reimport the file with changes? was created by Martin Herzhauser
Would it be possible, to export the registrants list, work in excel, and the reimport the changed list so that EventBooking updates the record based on the id?

Ok, I learned now that I cannot import my configured export. I have to use the format which I get wenn I click on "Import Template"...can I adjust this template also?

Could you please explain more details about your last question. It is not very clear to me. Normally, you can create different export templates, each template contains fields in the defined order
Then when you export registrants, you can choose to use the template you want

Tuan

Yes, the export is working, with different templates.
But for import it is only accepting a file in the template style which you receive when you press "Import Template" in the registrants view (or in the side menue when you use "Export Registrants". Otherwise it imports nothing. But this is not any of my defined templates, it is even not translated, so I think it is something hardecoded or somewhere hidden where I cannot find it.

Hi Martin
Ah Yes. You cannot have different templates for import. For import, you will need to provide data in the format accepted by the system (generated by Import Template feature). Of course, not all fields are required

So I cannot change this format?
What is the minimum content needed? I suppose the ID field? Then I can cheat something in excel...

For import registrants, you should at least have these following columns to identify a registration record
- event_id
- first_name
- email
- payment_method
- published
If payment_method is not available, published column should have value = 1, otherwise, the registration record will be considered as invalid and won't be displayed on Registrants Management by default
