Is it possible for people to register or an event, and to get a confirmation email from the system, that they are registered, but nearer the time of the actual event, we generate the tickets in the backend and re-send the email to all registered users with the newly generated ticket?

Normally, when users register for your events, the tickets will be generated and sent to them immediately if they paid for the registration

There is no option to delay tickets generation as you want
