Can't install 5.0.6 Update

I'm running joomla 5.3.0
When I try to update to Events Booking 5.0.6 through the usual updater, I get the following error:
This extension does not provide a checksum for validation of the integrity of the downloaded file.
Joomla\Filesystem\File::copy: Copy failed.
Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_eventbooking.zip
Before updating ensure that the update is compatible with your Joomla! installation.
You are strongly advised to make a backup of your site's files and database before you start updating.
I then downloaded from the website, unzipped, and tried to update via the installer and got this error:
Joomla\Filesystem\File::copy: Copy failed.
Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_eventbooking.zip
Error installing package

Usually, this causes by permissions issue with files/folders on your site. Please see my response via support ticket and we can continue from there

Hi, 

I have the same problem with version 5.3.2 of Event Booking.

After the file upload for the installation I get the error:
Joomla\Filesystem\File::copy: Copy failed.
Package Update: There was an error installing an extension: com_eventbooking.zip

So now there are some extensions updated to 5.3.2 and other to the old version.

I have fixed the file and folder privileges using the Akeeba Admin Tools and a PHP code of mine. None of the worked.

Do you any idea to fix the problem?

I guess there is permission issue with some files/folders in Events Booking installation on your site. I guess the easiest way would be uninstall the old version and re-install new version

Before doing that, please make sure you make a full backup of your site, just in case you need to restore it for some reasons

I tried the installation on my local pc and still the same problem.
Anyway, if I uninstall the old version, the events will be lost?
