Turn off the Invite Button was created by Techmistress
Hello! I’d like to remove the Invite a Friend button on the event page. This has become a source of spam and a virus, so I’d just like to get rid of it - butI can’t seem where to remove it, other than editing a file.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi
You just need to go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Enable Invite Friend config option to No and the feature will be disabled
Regards,
Tuan

Thank you!
I looked in the configuration 3 times!! I just couldn’t find it.
It was under the “Themes” tab.
Solved!

Please, this is avoiding the solution. Please add the antispam option for all forms that the extension generates. Add the code for displaying antispam in the forms so that the antispam settings are displayed in the global Joomla configuration. If you don't have your own bulletproof antispam solution, please add my suggestion. Otherwise, it's a futile fight against spam. Unfortunately. Thanks!

Hi
The extension already support captcha. So if you want to use this feature, just setup and enable captcha. That should stop spams
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan, yes, I know that antispam is available for the form. But I would like to ask for information:
a) After turning on antispam, does it load for all forms (event form and recommendation form - invitation)?
b) When turning on antispam (captcha), does any antispam (plugin) that Joomla has selected in the global configuration load and work? I know that there was a problem with this in the past and no asntispam worked (or rather, google captcha worked everywhere and hcaptcha only for event forms).
The important thing for me personally is that if I have my own antispam implemented in Joomla, so that it loads and forms with protection loaded can be sent, because there was a problem with that.
Thank you very much for your answer and your time.

Thank you for your interest and comments. I was aware of the anti-spam measures, however, I did not not want the invite a friend button on anyway - so for me, that was the solution. I’m glad you’re posting the correct solution for spam, since others will require it.

Basically, you can follow instructions at
docs.joomdonation.com/eventsbooking/basic-setup/enable-captcha
, setup and enable captcha. Then captcha will be used to protect registration form, submit event form, and invite friend forms
Keep in mind that Events Booking does not work with all kind of captcha plugins (due to the way group registration works), so better use invisiable recaptcha plugin from Joomla. You can also try to use our captcha plugin joomdonation.com/joomla-extensions/jd-captcha.html

Tuan
