What happens if I change registration start date after people have registered?

I give newsletter subscribers early access to event registration, and I have found that the easiest way is to put all events on a page that goes out in the newsletter and isn't on any menus. I am comfortable setting the registration start date and I also set that so that I can email them a few days before registration opens. Usually I manually update the menu-linked pages on the day/time that public registration opens, so I don't bother changing the registration start date. But I'm considering cutting off newsletter subscribers about 12 hours before public registration opens so that I can load the pages in advance of public registration. If I change the registration start date after there's registrations, will it mess up any of the registrations?

More explanation: Event opens to newsletter subscribers on unlinked page with registration start date of Jan 27 @ 09:00. Person A & Person B register that day. I want to change the registration start date on Jan 30 so I can load the event on it's public page with registration start Jan 31 at 06:00. Will this cancel or affect the registrations for Person A & Person B at all? I'm hoping it'll just mean no one can register from when I change the registration start date until that date/time.

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Melissa

Registration Start Date - if entered - will control when users can register for that event. If you change the date, it won't affect existing registrations, so you do not have to worry about it

Tuan
