Late fee charged too early

I have an event set up with a late fee that was supposed to go into effect on 9-13-24 23.59.
For some reason the system started charging the late as early as 15:48 on the day of. I had 7 registrations that came in within the window of 15:48 to 23:45 that were all incorrect charged the late fee.

• The hosting server is set to the PDT time zone and appears to have the correct time.
• Joomla is set for the correct "New York" time zone.
• The Late Fee time is set as above for 09-13-24 23:59.
• Currently running Joomla 5.1.4, PHP 8.3.2, MySQL 8.0.28, Events Booking 5.0.0

I have used used similar settings for previous events, but do not recall running into this issue.
Any ideas what could be happening or where to look for issues?

The system will just check date and time base on the timezone set up on Global Configuration of your site (if does not use server timezone)

So if you are saying that Website Time Zone config option on your site set to the right timezone, I don't see how this could happen. You can submit a support ticket sending us super user account of your site and tell us ID of a registration record which I can see the issue, I will be happy to check to see why the issue happens and get it sorted
