Event Custom Fields: Display None? was created by Chris
Hi
I have some “Event Custom Fields” which are actually only intended for the admin and should not be displayed in the frontend. Normally this can be solved to some extent via CSS and display:none. Unfortunately, no classes are included in the table in the frontend. So this solution is unfortunately not possible. Is there another way?
Kind regards
Christoph

Hi Chris
You can just add show="0" to the custom field definition and it won't be displayed. Simple like that

Tuan

Hi Tuan
Thank you.
Indeed. That sounds really simple. Unfortuneately, it does't work. I made the modifictaion (s. screenhsot), cleared all the cache. But the fields are still there ...
If it would work: Is it then the case that the field would not be displayed in the frontend form, but would be displayed in the backend?
Kind regards
Christoph

Ah
So you are talking about submit event form? Not event details page?
If so, try to add submit_event_access="8" to the field, then the field will only be available for users with that access level ID (super user access level in this case)
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan
Thank you very much.
Yes. I meant the form. I used your snippet, but it doesn't seem to work.
Kind regards
Christoph

That's strange to me. Please submit a support ticket sending us:
1. Super user account of your site
2. Link to the form
3. Tell me name of the field you want to make hidden
I will check and configure it properly for you

Tuan

Hi Chris
Please go to joomdonation.com/support-tickets.html and submit a support ticket instead. We might need to ask some private questions, so better use support tickets instead of using forum
