How to list all events by date and by category was created by TheAnt
Hello
I have a problem with event URLs.
Since I need to list all events by both date and category, I created a menu where I first added “Category - Timeline Layout” items for each category with “Default Duration Filter” set to “All dates” and then “Category - Timeline Layout” items selecting all categories but with “From Date” and “To Date” set for each day of the festival.
This way I can have the full list of events for each category with no time limit, for the entire festival.
The problem is that the same event has now two different URLs, one is:
“mysite.com/date-menu-title/category/ID-event-title”
(for ex. www.festivaldelparcodimonza.it/13-settem...ia-e-i-suoi-abitanti )
and the other is: “mysite.com/category-menu-title/category/ID-event-title
(for ex. www.festivaldelparcodimonza.it/spettacol...ia-e-i-suoi-abitanti )
I have tried disabling the menu items by individual category, but if I then click on the “category” link in the event it takes me to: “mysite.com/date/category/ID-event-title”
(for ex. www.festivaldelparcodimonza.it/13-settem...tacoli-e-concerti-24 )
and then I don't get a list of all the festival events for that category, but only those of the same date.
What is the correct way to get the complete list of all events by date and by category without duplicate URL problems?
Thanks

I use 4SEO, in case it might be helpful. But I wouldn't know what to do with Event Booking.

Hello
Edit one of the two menu items, there is a parameter called Override Menu Item ID.
Set it to the other menu item. Then the link will be generated base on that selected/override menu item and it will be the same for both menu items
Give it a try

I set the same override for all menu items and everything seems to work correctly, with no duplicate URLs. Thank you
