Hi,
Many thanks for sharing this.
I have some additions/improvements on this front-end translation - also will create this into a Joomla installable package - (this zip above contains the ini file to be stored in languages dir).
The backend translation is not available?

Find attached a Dutch Site and Admin translation package for event booking with install.xml so installable package via Joomla 1.5 extension manager.
Current status frontend 80% backend 18%

any joomla1.6 version available in dutch yet? the file above is for 1.5. Or any idea how to modify it quickly (not manual) ?

You could try this extensions.joomla.org/extensions/tools/development-tools/15408 and convert 1.5 to 1.6 format
