Copied event registration goes to original event. was created by neilz@personal-techie.com
Hi,
I copied an event from 2023 for 2024 as the only things that are changing are the dates and the fees. Everything else stays the same as its a yearly event. The copy worked fine, but when I go into it to test registration, I'm sent to the registration for the OLD event which gives me a 'registrations are no longer being taken' message flashing at the top of the page, along with the data and dates for the 2023 event.
Evidently the copy is not properly linking the registration buttons to the 2024 event. I unpublished the 2023 event, and all that does when I click on the link to the Event Registration is give me a 'event does not exist' message.
I've attached two screen captures, one showing the 2024 Event Info page with the two registration buttons, and the second the page I get sent to when clicking on either group or individual registration buttons, which is the 2023 one as seen by the dates.
Any assistance would be appreciated, as registration is supposed to start in January. FWIW .. I've got the registration open right now for testing. The site is wee-kirk-ne.org
Thanks in advance,
Neil Zampella

Hello
Please make sure the new event uses a different Alias with the old event and it will be fine. Alternative, you can go to Events Booking -> Configuration, look at SEF Router Settings tab, set Insert Event ID config option to Yes and it should solve the issue, too

Tuan

That's strange to me. You can submit a support ticket sending us super user account of the site and link to the event which I can perform registration to see the error
I will check to see why it happens and get it corrected
